These square flange ball bearing units comply with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). They consist of a bearing insert with an extended inner ring and locking screws, suitable for constant or alternating direction of rotation applications. The bearing is mounted in a housing, which is bolted to the machine body or frame. Ball bearing units can accommodate moderate initial misalignment, but are generally unable to accommodate axial displacement.
