Single-row cylindrical roller bearings type NU without an inner ring consist of an outer ring with a set of rollers and a separator. Typically used in cases where the hardened ground surface of the shaft is used as the rolling path. Without an inner ring, the larger shaft diameter contributes to increased strength and rigidity of the unit. Ball bearings are able to withstand axial displacement in both directions, limited only by the width of the rolling path on the shaft.
