Four-point contact ball bearings with locating grooves can support high axial loads in both directions and light radial loads. They can operate at very high speeds and are more suitable than deep groove ball bearings for supporting high axial forces. The outer ring with the ball assembly and cage can be mounted separately from the two halves of the inner ring. To prevent the outer ring from turning, locating grooves can be used.
