Belts provide a very efficient and economical method of transmitting power from the drive to the driven equipment. Poly V-belts have several longitudinal V-shaped grooves on the inside of the belt. The grooves create a larger contact area than classic V-belts of similar length and width, allowing poly V-belts to transmit more power. Pre-tensioned cords maintain low elongation during operation.
