To handle higher loads than jaw couplings and to provide virtually maintenance-free operation, the FRC coupling type was developed. The FR type is fire-resistant and anti-static (FRAS). FRC couplings are capable of absorbing moderate shock loads, damping small vibrations and compensating for accidental misalignment.
