The SKF Grease Flow Meter LAGM 1000E accurately measures the amount of grease passing through it. When manually lubricating bearings using grease guns or grease pumps, it is usually very difficult to determine the required amount of grease. However, the correct amount of grease is critical to achieving the calculated bearing life. Under- or over-lubrication can cause bearing damage and equipment failure. Even when weighing the amount of grease per stroke, actual conditions such as back pressure, wear inside the grease gun, etc. can result in different amounts of grease being delivered. The actual amount of grease for relubrication can only be measured using a grease flow meter.
