KMK lock nuts with an integrated locking mechanism are designed to lock radial bearings with reduced requirements for bearing assemblies. They reduce the cost of shafts due to the absence of the need to make a keyway. Installation with an integrated set screw is faster and easier, and no separate locking devices are required. The threaded steel insert in the hole of the KMK lock nuts acts as a pressure plate, which, with the help of a set screw located in the body of the lock nut, fixes the nut on the shaft.
