Low-height lip seals are designed for bearing assemblies that include needle roller bearings. These contact seals have a design without a return spring. Type G seals are made of rubber with one lip. Seals for shafts with a diameter ≥ 8 mm are reinforced with sheet steel. The rubberized surface of the outside diameter improves the sealing of the bore in the housing and reduces the risk of damage to the seal and housing during installation and removal.
