These square flange ball bearing units comply with JIS standards. They consist of a bearing insert with an extended inner ring and locking with set screws, and are suitable for applications with constant or alternating directions of rotation. The bearing is mounted in a cast iron housing, which is bolted to the machine body or frame. Ball bearing units are capable of compensating for moderate initial misalignment, but are generally not capable of compensating for axial displacement.
