Double row angular contact ball bearings are similar in design and application to a pair of single row angular contact ball bearings arranged back-to-back, but are narrower in width, and are particularly suitable when a rigid bearing arrangement is required. They can accommodate radial loads, axial loads in any direction, and overturning moments. They can operate at very high speeds and are more suitable than deep groove ball bearings for supporting large axial forces.
