Insert bearings are based on sealed radial ball bearings. These insert bearings can be used in bearing assemblies where smooth running is a key parameter. They can withstand heavier axial loads than any other insert bearings. The bearings are sealed on both sides, the seals are made of sheet steel-reinforced butadiene acrylonitrile rubber (NBR) and are installed in a recess in the outer ring, the seal lip is mated with the shoulder of the inner ring, performing the function of a contact seal.
