Self-aligning ball bearings with a wide inner ring have two rows of balls, a common spherical raceway on the outer ring, and two raceways on the inner ring. They are insensitive to angular misalignments of the shaft relative to the housing. The wide inner ring allows the use of industrial shafts and axial fixation on the shaft using a groove on one end of the inner ring.
